Why our preschool curriculum and daycare program
is like no other in Metro Vancouver
Take comfort in small, creative spaces
Each of our child care centres is uniquely tailored to preschool learning and play environments. Much of our furniture is hand-made. Our decor includes inspiration from nature and an artistic touch.
Get structured daycare curriculum plus ‘free play’
Our method of teaching young kids ensures your child has a ‘takeaway’ at the end of each day. But we still make time for aspects of emergent curriculum to allow for exploration in the classroom.
Receive individualized attention, truly
No child is ignored or ‘lost’ in the crowd. We do what it takes to help all children participate in preschool, even if that means changing the daycare schedule to suit one child’s interests, that everyone else can enjoy with him or her.
Benefit from social development child care
Kids at Rainforest Learning Centre daycare and preschool don’t only get a head start for kindergarten learning. They learn how to behave in social environments. They learn peer respect. They learn how classrooms and group settings ‘work.’
Be involved as much as you want
We don’t discourage parents from joining daycare activities. We know separation anxiety is not just something kids experience; parents get it too! Plus, we hold special events for the family and community throughout the year!
Participate in social responsibility
Join a private preschool that teaches children to recycle and take care of their environment. We aim to produce socially responsible citizens of the future. Learning to clean up the neighbourhood and care for animals in nature can be fun too!

The early years are an important period in a child’s development…a time when children learn social skills, develop concepts and form values and attitudes that will last throughout their lives.
We recognize that every child has the potential to be and to become anything that they desire. We nurture that desire, building strong, confident children who believe in themselves and each other.
The Rainforest family is a stepping-stone towards the many relationships that children will develop throughout their lives. With our guidance, children will learn many important life skills such as:
- Positive peer and adult interaction
- Respect for:
- their peers
- their possessions
- their environment
The Rainforest learning Centre encourages open and trusting relationships among families, caregivers and children. This ongoing communication helps to develop and encourage the functioning of the curriculum, which in turn helps the curriculum goals and objectives to be met.
